• Environmental work must be a natural part of daily work and environmental considerations must be included in all decisions. Clear guidelines and procedures must be in place to create the conditions for all employees to take environmental considerations into account in their decisions. It must be a matter of course for us to always choose environmentally friendly products wherever possible.
• Environmental considerations are taken into account at all stages, e.g. choice of transport, replacing transport with videoconferencing, paper savings through the use of electronic mail, etc.
• Suppliers to Parken Zoo must always comply with applicable legislation regarding environmental protection. Suppliers are also expected to strive for efficient use of energy and water and to minimise harmful emissions and negative impacts on the environment. Safe handling of environmentally hazardous waste is a requirement.
• Suppliers are expected to protect biodiversity and avoid harming or otherwise adversely affecting animals and other living organisms through their activities.
• The use of finite resources should be done sparingly and with responsibility for future generations.
• All waste management shall be carried out in such a way as to avoid emissions to air, soil and water.
• Employees on duty should use public transport as far as possible. Staff should be encouraged to walk, cycle, use public transport or carpool to and from work, between company offices and to and from customers.
• Car journeys should be made as far as possible with environmentally classified cars.
• We will continuously strive to reduce our energy consumption in all our workplaces.
• We will comply with the law on environmental issues and also ensure that the requirements of authorities and the public on environmental issues are met.

Parken Zoo's operations must be characterised by ongoing, preventive and recurring environmental work.
