Questions & Answers

Here you will find the answers to the most common questions we receive before a visit to Parken Zoo.

What is included in a day ticket?
We use the ”all-inclusive” ticketing system, which means that all park experiences are included in the entrance fee.

We just want to ride roundabouts?
The entrance fee includes free rides on carousels - so just go for it!

We want to visit the Park so much - how do we do it?
In this case, a season ticket is the best option; by the third visit you have ”earned” the purchase!
Season tickets are available in our webshop or at Parken Zoo. Season passes are personal and must be registered before first use. Registration can be done on our website or at the guest service centre.

How to buy day tickets?
The easiest way to buy day tickets is in our webshop, go to the home page and click on ”buy tickets” You can also buy them on site with us.

Can we take the dog with us?
No, unfortunately you are not allowed to bring any pets to Parken Zoo, neither to the zoo, the amusement park nor the Parkenbadet.

Can I leave the park to get my swimwear from the car and then re-enter?
Yes, let Guest Services know before you leave and they will give you a stamp on your hand to show when you re-enter.

How does it work with escorts?
If you have a disability that requires an attendant, the attendant on duty is offered free admission. You must provide proof of the need for an escort. If you have more than one companion, they pay the normal price, unless you can provide proof of the need for more than one companion.

Carers and carer certificates
The person accompanying you must be at least 16 years old and be able to provide proof of identity and a certificate. The certificate must include your name and a brief description of your need for escorting. We accept certificates from healthcare providers, municipalities, schools and assistance companies.

Accessibility bracelets
If you need an escort to help you in and out of an attraction or to support you before or during your ride experience, you will be issued with an accessibility badge by Guest Services. You must provide proof of need. The accessibility wristband is only valid for your companion when you ride/visit the attractions together.

Service dogs
Service dogs at work are welcome.
The above guidelines are developed by the Swedish Amusement Park Association 2019

Are there crutches or prams?
Prams and pushchairs are available for hire at our main entrance. To be paid at the entrance desk.

Do we need cash?
Parken Zoo and Parken Zoo Camping & Stugby are completely cashless.

How do we get to Parken Zoo?
Follow the signs to Parken Zoo or to Flackstavägen 13B 632 22 Eskilstuna, which is the address of our main entrance.

Is there a map of the park area?
Here you can view and download a map of Parken Zoo.

Can I use a disposable barbecue?
No, you are not allowed to use a barbecue inside the area because of the fire risk

Can I smoke in the park?
We aim to have a smoke-free park to protect our visitors and animals.
Smoking is not allowed inside the zoo, but you can visit one of the two smoking areas located between the pool and the theatre.

Is Parken Zoo wheelchair accessible?
The park is constantly working to be as accessible as possible for everyone. The area is relatively ”flat” (although there are some hills). Disabled toilets are available in all the places where we have toilets.

Where is the first aid centre?
Equipment is available in Guest Services. If you need immediate assistance, ask any member of staff.

Is it easy to park?
Parken Zoo has two car parks managed by the company Aimo Park: one at the main entrance (with a limited number of spaces) and a larger one by the swimming pool. Look carefully at the signs to make sure you're entering a Parken Zoo car park - the shopping centre next door has its own car parks with its own parking rules.

If someone in the family goes missing?
Contact a member of staff and they will help you. At the Guest Services, there is a call-out service available. A good tip is to ”tag” your child/children with your mobile phone number to make it easier to find ”lost parents”. Stickers are available at the main entrance cash desks.

Is my child too small on the rides?
For safety reasons, some rides have special height requirements. See the applicable height limits under the amusement park tab. Staff are always responsible for our safety rules.

Can you feed the animals?
Only staff are allowed to feed the animals. For more information and times on public activities, please see today's programme

Who can we ask for help or information?
You can always contact Guest Services at the main entrance.

How do you handle the personal data you collect?
You can read more about our privacy policy here.

CANCELLATION AND REBOOKING POLICY

We like to be flexible and of course try to facilitate your visit, read more here about how we think about cancellations / rebookings in current times:

Open purchase 14 days
You always have a 14-day open purchase period for tickets from the time of purchase. Then you have the opportunity to cancel the visit, for example in case of illness etc. This must be done no later than 10.00 on the day of arrival when Parken Zoo opens. Thus, you cannot cancel during the day when the tickets become valid.
You can send an e-mail to info@parkenzoo.se and give their receipt number starting with 10 00 followed by 6 digits.

When more than 14 days have passed
If you change your plans and it has been more than 14 days, you can rebook your visit no later than 10.00 on the day the ticket is valid - this is done by clicking on the link at the bottom of the receipt email that you received at the time of purchase. Enter the rebooking code which is also at the bottom of the receipt. Choose another day within the same price level. If the change is successful, a box will appear confirming that the date change has been made. Use the original ticket and note which day you have changed to.

If you have a season ticket and made a free seat reservation but cannot go
You can change your booking to another day.

Not received the digital tickets?
If you haven't received tickets on your email, start by checking that they haven't gone to spam.
If not, contact us and we can resend the receipt.

If you have problems with your tickets, please email Guest Services and we will help you as soon as we can. info@parkenzoo.se
