Yesterday our zoologist Jennie was at the organisation's board meeting. AEECL working on in situ conservation work in Madagascar.
AEECL is made up of a number of European zoos that have joined forces to preserve Madagascar's endangered lemurs through their collective efforts. On their website and Facebook page, you can follow their work, so please do go and give them a like!
Our radiated tortoises, Alaotran gentle lemurs, giant hissing cockroaches and red-bellied lemurs all come from Madagascar.
