Have you ever thought about weighing a giant tortoise? It’s not as simple as just stepping on the scales. Today, the Aldabra tortoises Tank and Mathilda were weighed. Animal keeper Anna had to coax them, one at a time, into a BIG BAG. Then, we needed Pelle and a tractor to lift and weigh them. Mathilda came in at 47.5 kg and Tank at 161.5 kg. Neither is someone you’d want stomping on your toes!.
