Help us save the lives of the critically endangered confiscated tortoises – get a chance for a personal meeting with our giant tortoises!

We turn to our followers out there and humbly ask for your help! On Tuesday last week (10 April), one of the largest ever seizures of endangered animals as part of the illegal trade was made. Nearly 11,000 individuals of the critically endangered radiated tortoise species were found in a house in Toliara in southwestern Madagascar. Hundreds of turtles have already died from dehydration, malnutrition, and disease. On Saturday, 9,760 turtles were still alive, and forces around the world are now uniting to help save the lives of these beautiful, charismatic, and critically endangered individuals.
We turn to our followers out there and most humbly ask for your help to help. It's possible to donate money directly to the TSA organisation, but to make it a little easier for you, you can also Swish directly to Parken Zoo on 123 083 82 35. Mark the payment with ”Contribution radiation tortoise” and we will pay in a collective support from all of you <3 All wonderful people out there who join together and contribute will be entered into a prize draw to meet our own radiated tortoises and also our giant tortoises Tank and Matteus. All contributions are important, small or large! The prize draw runs until May 15, 2018. Please also help us by spreading this to as many people as possible.
Parken Zoo is the studbook keeper and coordinates the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria's (EAZA) breeding programme for the critically endangered species.
